Jeff Nelson is a ten-year veteran of drum corps, marching in DCI from the age of 14 through his age out year at 21. His time in drum corps includes 4 years on the snare line with the Spirit of Atlanta and the Concord Blue Devils, where he served as section leader of the drumline for both corps. After aging out, Jeff continued on as a percussion staff member with the Blue Devils. During his time in drum corps, Jeff took part in two DCI High Drum honors, four top 3 finishes in drums, and one DCI World Championship. He is also an alumnus in the University of Kentucky drumline and has studied under and worked alongside legendary drum corps veterans Tom and Katherine Float, Scott Johnson, and Mike Back. Jeff is currently co-owner and operator of Lone Star Percussion and Dallas, TX.
