	2004 - Spettacolo: Mele ed Aranci Mele ed Aranci or apples and oranges best describes the percussion program's performance emphasis. With our philosophy: We can't control what people say about us, but we can control our character that influences our reputation, we hope to always put forth our best orange. Inspiration for tonight's performance comes from Post-Impressionist artist Paul Cezanne and his famous painting: Apples and Oranges. Spettacolo: Mele ed Aranci will build upon the rich Plano Music tradition by featuring over 100 percussion students from PSHS, Jasper and Vines High Schools, and Haggard, Rice, Schimelpfenig, and Wilson Middle Schools. Marking its return will be the Plano Middle School Drumline. All will take to the performance arena and evoke growth and independence creating a fond memory that will last a lifetime.

	2005 - Spettacolo: Boomshakalaka Paint cans rich with color, melody, and harmony call our names and we do not deny their need. We hear music. The street, the trees, the buildings, every aspect of the life ignites a symphony. Boomshakalaka! The sound of drumming grows in our heads. Boomshakalaka! A prose image of the music we hear. Boom! The low drum, the bass, the heartbeat of a groove. Shak! Piercing tones from the harmony. Alaka!, A melody presenting a purpose, subtle or apparent. Boomshakalaka is a mesmerizing song, a memorable feeling, a meaningful experience. Boomshakalaka presents three intensities that as one are melodic, beautiful, and intense. Boomshakalaka is the trinity that binds us. It is a word that sums up the music in our soul.

	2006 - Spettacolo: The Symphonic Weapon Out of our welter of musical experimentation, reckless and individualist, has emerged what, for want of a better name, we are terming Symphonic Weapon. Our expression reaches out to embrace music, light, and design which are no longer incidental to our production: a soundtrack to our lives, they are woven into its very movement and being. They become positive, it is positive, we are positive. In the emotion, movement, and rhythm of our music, a new voice speaks from out over the theatre. The musical styles are welded into a composite style. The common denominator of all will be a rhythmic emotionalism of which will sweep Spettacolo along to its goal, which is the statement of our theme in a new language as direct and spontaneous as only percussion music can offer. Style of production, Spettacolo, gives us a setting that is as real as our experiences. Decorative and imaginative, our music puts us in a spirit rich in appeal. Many of us, weary of our routine, have only to look up to the stage and listen as we speak out new themes, new emotions, new messages that rekindle purpose, reviving powerful inner expression thought lost but found evolved and all embracing. We now are ready for the great all-embracing music of Plano Percussion as the Plano auditorium gains utter freedom in a new and independent medium, the Symphonic Weapon.

	2007 - Spettacolo: Ritmo What is Ritmo? Quite simply, Ritmo or rhythm is the timing of notes that are played. Hmmn..., that sounds simple enough. So why is rhythm so crucial to music? Well, rhythm adds a whole new dimension to music. Instead of just varying pitches, composers can also vary rhythms! This creates the uniqueness of each piece and gives each piece it's own character. That is the textbook definition of Ritmo. But what is Ritmo to us?! Rhythm is life! We all have rhythm, rhythm is within all of us, and its around us all the time. Take a look, the moon and stars constantly rise and fall in universal rhythm. When we talk, walk, march, and sing, rhythm flows. Most importantly, our bodies play a natural Ritmo made up of movement and song. Ritmo is what binds us together tonight. We now are ready for the great all-embracing music of Plano Percussion as the Plano auditorium gains utter freedom in a new and independent medium, Ritmo.
