Percussion Sectionals -
Percussion sectionals will begin/continue in January. Each school (PSHS,CHS,JHS,VHS) will have
required weekly sectionals. All students are engaged in either ensemble rehearsal or solo practice during these times.
Rehearsals are listed on the percussion online calendar found on the Member's Only page.
PSHS Theatre presents: Chicago -
The musical performances are January 12-14, 2012 (Thur-Sat) starting at 7:30pm in the PSHS Auditorium. For more information, click

Clark Concert w/ 8th graders -
This is an annual Combined Clark/8th grade concert. This event presents an evening of fun and music as 8th grade friends from
Carpenter, Hendrick, and Schimelpfenig Middle Schools reunite with their Clark buddies in a spectacular concert and after-concert party.

PMSDL Parent Meeting -
We are very excited to offer this wonderful activity once again for our young middle school
percussionists. Last year's group had a lot of fun and we are extremely proud of their performance at the Plano
Percussion Concert: Spettacolo. Any and all details will be addressed at our PMSDL Parent Orientation Meeting. The meeting
is set for Monday, January 9, 2012 at 7:00pm in the PSHS Band Hall. Any questions can be addressed to

All-Region Band Clinic and Concert -
Our Plano talent is on display as members of the Region 25 Bands prepare for their showcase concerts on Friday, January 27, 2012.
The rehearsals and concerts will be at McKinney North High School. Specific rehearsal information will be received closer to the
date.
Vines Spaghetti Dinner -
This evening offers our community a wonderful night of live music performance. Our middle school percussionists from
Haggard and Wilson will be in concert along with their band mates performing at their best. Along with our middle school bands,
the evening will also feature the Vines Symphonic, Concert, and Jazz Bands along with inspiring performances from the PanCats Steel
Drum Band and the Award-winning Plano Senior High School Jazz Band. Make your plans now to enjoy this experience on January 28, 2012.
PanCats Winter Tour -
The PanCat Winter Tour continues with performances at the Clark/8th Grade Combined Concert and the Vines Spaghetti Dinner. Thank
you to everyone who came out to our Central Market and Barnes & Noble performances. We had a great time playing for everyone.

Plano Band Mid-Winter Concert - (February 2, 2012)
The Plano Bands will be in concert in the PSHS Auditorium. The concert, starting at 7:30p, will feature
live music performances from the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble. We hope to see you there!
Central Cluster MS Solo and Ensemble Contest -
Our young musicians show their stuff at our Central Cluster Middle School Solo and Ensemble Contest. This year's event will be on
February 4, 2012.
TMEA Convention -
Texas Music Educators Association Convention held in San Antonio from February 9-11, 2012.

UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest at Plano East -
Approved solo and ensemble events are listed in the table of contents of the Texas Prescribed Music List.
Each percussionist may enter a maximum of two instrumental events which be either:
A. Two solos performed on different instruments
OR
B. Two small ensembles with different instrumentation and music
OR
C. A small ensemble and a solo
Plano Percussion Solo/Ensemble Festival -
The Plano Percussion Solo/Ensemble Festival will be on February 25, 2012. A performance schedule may be found in
the "members only" section closer to the date.
